As a rough guide, one cubic metre covers about 10 square metres at 100mm deep. Tell us the area and we will work out the volume so you are not left short or paying for a load you cannot use.
Hardwood mulch produced from our own tree work, available in standard, finer, or coarser grades. Fine grades suit garden beds, coarse holds better on windbreaks and open ground.
Yes, and it is the cheapest option. Prunings and limbs are chipped on site and spread straight back onto beds and tree lines, so nothing has to be carted either way.
No. Mulching is good for a tree, not harmful, as long as it is kept back off the trunk. It is one of the better things you can do for a stressed gum in a dry summer.
About 75 to 100mm is right for most beds. Deeper than that can stop light rain reaching the soil, and piling it against trunks causes rot, so we keep a clear gap around the base.
Either. Plenty of people take a tipped load and spread it themselves. For larger areas or where access is awkward, having the crew spread it is usually worth the difference.
